I'm a WWII guy, and a Civil War guy, and the Three Kingdoms period in China, and I know this. Germany was only beaten in WWII because of stupid mistakes Hitler made, like canceling Operation Sea Lion, firing Heinz Guderian, killing Rommel, delaying the Kursk Offensive, and not letting von Mannstein help von Paulus at Stalingrad. Had Hitler died in 1942, Germany would've stomped out Russia and England, without a doubt. And as it's true the Americans were inferior, so were the British to the Germans, especially the SS. The Waffen-SS is viewed by most historians as the greatest fighting force ever assembled. Besides, in WWI Britain and France started to lose towards the end of the war, Germany had more troops, and more money. Had not we Americans shippied over to France twice with a "meatwall" to bail your manpower issues out, you English people would all be speaking German right now, in two different eras.

Archduke, the Germans still had more soldiers than France and England, and the amount of yanks goin over there caused the Germans to gamble on a last offensive, which only stalled because an American battalion got trapped behind German lines, and stayed there causing the Germans serious issues. If not for the American entry, the war of attrition would've continued and Germany would've eventually won that, even if millions were starving from the Royal Navy's blockade.

All fine, except it was Britain, not Canada for 1812.Lt.Phoenix wrote:I think your overbearing proAmerican BS is babyish. In the war of 1812, Canada entered with less than half as many troops as you, yet killed twice as many. Canada took more land from the USA. Canada burned down the White house. The US fought a battle after the peace treaty was already signed, no, America slaughtered some Canadians after the peace treaty was signed. Canada won the war of 1812. Deal with it.
In World War 2, it was because of America that the rest of the Allied forces had to go to war against Japan. The Battle of Britian was played out with Britain and Canada. America did not contribute enough to it to be recognized. America sadistically dropped abombs into 2 major Japanese cities, there were no military bases there, there murdered hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of innocent beings, granting them hatred from the rest of the world on some level. D-Day, Canada dropped troops into Germany on the final day of the war, America lent a rabble of semi-prepared soldiers, along with some of Britians' best. While Russia invaded Germany from the East. So yes, America did contribute the least to WW2, but also brought a major enemy in, Japan, then making us help you with a war, while you just sat back and watched Europe get invaded basically. That seems both cowardly and selfish to me.
Vietnam? War of 1812? Middle-East? You lost, deal with it.

Britain had fewer soldiers of higher quality, and they were better equipped. The Americans killed something like 100 odd Germans in the whole of the war. Millions were dropping dead, Germany as a lesser industrial power would have floundered. They had bought their munitions from Britain about 30 years before...they were running out and couldn't produce them themselves. They were fucked before the US arrived,.ToXiC_WoLf wrote:Archduke, the Germans still had more soldiers than France and England, and the amount of yanks goin over there caused the Germans to gamble on a last offensive, which only stalled because an American battalion got trapped behind German lines, and stayed there causing the Germans serious issues.
