Authentic British units Mod (eventually)

Post by Thrax »

I am busy making accurate skins for the Brits at the mo. have done 15th Kings Own hussars, KGL Hussars and amcurrently working on Grenadier guards pattern 1807. Iam so clueless however that Ican't seem to get a picture in my post. I can get the models in the game though. Once I manage it I will post. My aim is to have as authentic as possible British units. So working on the Brits first.

Make sure you have a host for it first, I use Photobucket. Then just pasted the img/ thing on here, it should work just fine for you.

Here is an attempt to get the image on to the forum

this is a test if it works I will post more.
I have now updated all foot units to 1st regiment of foot guards, which then became Grenadier guards. I have only done one of the models for each unit to get a basic idea if this works i will post them to get feedback.

Here is a collection of pictures of units so far. These include to different hussars 15th kings own and KGL hussars. Ist regiment of foot grenadiers and light infantry. Unfortunately the picture when downloaded is quite small but if you like I will find out how to make it into a MOD and post them.

Have completed 15th Kings Own Hussars. Features the red shako which replaced their Busby post March 1813. I have onlyused the models with moustaches as all British Hussars were required to have one. I can either release the models now or finish all British units first. let me know.
More pics hopefully.

latest w.i.p again only one model. The model represents either 1st LifeGuards (household cavalry) blue facings gold lace or The Kings 1st Dragoon guards (blue facing, yellow lace. Am going to try some other regiments maybe the 6th Dragoons (Inniskillings)

I am thinking of updating the Lancers next to the 16th which were previously 16th dragoons and were first to be converted to lancers, formed in 1815 after waterloo. Or has anyone got a preference and possible illustrations. All lancers were formed after but as the game goes beyond Waterloo period I'm going to update them to be accurate.

My computer crashed and lost all of my new British skins so wip now is 0
However I am going to re model as authentic as possible Napoleonic era skins. Including Inniskillins as were based in Hastings, England where I reside. Blues and royals as life guards will look to much like the Inniskillins. Also have not decided whether to include lancers or another unit instead such as the Scots greys. Can't model will have to change with the texturing.
As I am starting from scratch if any one has any fav units or skins feel free to suggest. or preference with lancers, whether to include or not as only appeared after waterloo but before 1830 when the game ends. I do intend to release as a mod, I will however only release when I am happy with the quality.
Feedback or suggestions appreciated
