Ah yes I've seen both games. GUN Looks alright but I am not up for a Wild West shooter I am afraid :). As for Call of Juarez, that game takes up a bit of an artistically creative side, sort of nice actually.

As for the Commandos expansion pack. I believe there is a strong suspicion amongst us TAF(N)ers that with the turn that Pyro Studios has taken (Gonzo Suarez leaving, Commandos 3 being mediocre, and CSF being a first-person shooter) they might not revisit the Commandos series. If they do, we can only hope that it lives up to the Commandos name that C2 had set forth (speaking of which I installed the game yesterday again, been listening to the soundtracks a lot lately too).

I read somewhere Pyro is working on a sequel for CSF. It was a Spanish text btw so I hope I intrepent it correctly.

It would be cool btw if they would make an anniversary edition in the same style as the original games (isometric view.) This idea popped into my mind some time ago, long before the anniversary edition for Tomb Raider was announced so I didn't steal this idea. ;) Looking at the average development time of a game they better start working on it now. This would be a nice question in our next interview.

The picture rendering looks something like a commandos screen but you can never know.

Holy crap! People from the past posting here

About the pics, top row:
Left: sketch of the map of the second mission in CBEL
Middle: upcoming Commandos mobile game I think
Right: Commandos 4 artwork (working title was Legends of War, read that in someones CV).

Bottom row:
Left: interior scene of the hanger from the second mission in C2
Middle: stupid dwarf blocking a good view of the right image
Right: also from the upcoming Commandos game I think

Nice to see you're all still alive!

I was always lurking in the shadows.
Do we know if it is going to be cross-platform in mobile phones? OS, Android and windows phones alike?

Hi all!

Also returning from the shadows  (although I did post some news with some time interval)

Mobile Commandos is better than no Commandos but I'm still hoping for a new pc version one day, especially since mobile is so fragmented and we'll have to see which platforms and versions are supported.

FYI: the picture behind the dwarf shows a concept drawing of the Commandos 2 map 'Das Boot, Silent Killers'

Wow, sharp eye Herbert! Is it an old picture? I haven't seen it before. It kind of has the same style to it as that other picture. Perhaps they're putting some of the old maps in the mobile game. Or maybe both pictures are old concept art. Or maybe I'm just plain wrong...

Edit:

Upon further inspection, the other picture is from Das Boot as well. I'm getting the feeling that Pyro is indeed re-using some of the older maps. See picture and compare!

This looks like a truck model from Commandos. Don't know if it's old or new but the photo and computer surely is.

Behind the 2 pictures, there is a map of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

Was there any mission in this city in the previous Commandos games?

I certainly hope, that if there is only a tablet / Phone game, it will also release on the Windows Platform. If it is an Windows 8 App, it is playable on the PC.

Yes, there was a map in Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty -- Mission 8: Dangerous Friendships, with watter channels, in what looks to be Amsterdam.

Looks like the new Commandos game will be released in late 2016.

https://www.u-tad.com/noticias/como-se- ... -producto/

Approximate translation from Spanish:

Can you tell us some advance of the upcoming releases of Pyro Studios?

At the moment we are working on Super Soccer Club. We could say that we have just started the development of this product since we have ahead of the launch of a number of new versions of Super Soccer Club. On the other hand, we have begun work on our next big project, known internally by Project Mobile Commandos now. Almost nothing. Our great challenge until late 2016, at least to launch the first version on iOS and Android. I can say little about the game, except that it will be a turning point for us in many ways .

Thanks for information newuser! I've posted the news on the main page.

You are right about the CBCD mission taking place in the Netherlands. However it is in the city of Nijmegen. For anyone interested, you can find old maps of the Netherlands on this website: www.watwaswaar.nl.

Pyro may always integrate old missions to this new game.

Could you guys move this topic from the current place in CSF within the Commandos series general topic, and call it the Commados next game (mobile) until the official name. It would be a lot more clearer.
Thanks!

I've done one better and created a new forum section

I can't seem to move this thread though, feel free to start a new thread in the new section I'll see about finding out why it won't move this thread.

Job's done! Some tinkering with the database did the trick as I couldn't move the topic in the way it was supposed to either.
