Commandos 2 mod?

Post by 1shot1kill »

The mod is 90% complete
We were informed that a Commandos 2: Men of Courage mod called Destination Paris is under development (thanks: Swordfish). The mod features new enemies, missions, objectives, graphics, sounds and new abilities and outfits for the Commandos. Also, vehicles and ammo have been rebalanced, levels design has been changed, all the weapons have limited ammo and many more. Commandos 2: Destination Paris will be available in the near future.

Bit late isn't it?

Yeah its a little late. But who knows, maybe it will be a good mod.

EDIT: Although I doubt more than a handful of people will play it.

Yes, I heard about this some days ago. Wanted to wait and test it first before posting about it.

I wounder if they fixed it so that the spy can run without being detected when he is disguised.
that was really lame about c2.

Most of the original game has been changed, to give the player a new and exciting Commandos experience
A new Destination Paris, a Commandos 2: Men of Courage mod, has been released and is locally mirrored, containing various bugfixes (thanks: [GMC]-GoA-{Phantom}). The mod features new enemies, missions, objectives, graphics, sounds and new abilities and outfits for the Commandos. Also, vehicles and ammo have been rebalanced, levels design has been changed, all the weapons have limited ammo and many more.

Well it's about time someone was able to hack up something. I still play C2 daily. C3 SUCKS, thankyou. What has also sucked is the fact that people talked about ways to mod certain things but never made a mod of their work. When other modders can see what someone did in editing, it is real clear over just describing it in a post. This is why C2 has languished.

I have been playing with unlimited ammo for probably a year and have found that it lends a totally new dimension to the game goals. You don't stratigize 5 minutes through a dozen intricate moves to take one enemy out so you can get his stinkin 3 rounds of ammo!

Anyhow there's still life in the game and I'm interested in trying this mod out.
