Conquerd nations?

Post by Officerpuppy »

Not sure if its addressed in the Faq, but what happens after you defeat a large nation like France. Like in MTW, after a few years, a faction might appear to try and regain its former glory, will something similiar happen in IG?

I have seen that there are only the few playable nations from all of the information released so far. But i was wondering if there is any other information of the exact nations you wil be encountering in the world i know that the Us will play a small part from one of the mission qusts in game but what about other nations that are present in he european theater?

On the same subject... I wonder if this game will let you recruit local troops. By that I mean if France takes over Scotland will Napoleon be able to lead Highlanders into battle?

Or will the non-playable nations have their unique units to defend their countries or will they have them based on existing units of 5 empires :>

I thought they said unique . They said that if you help boliva in his war you get some of his troops or something like that.

Well I hope it but it seems that there wouldn't be additional units - if so - I think they would have mentioned it ?

Well...then it opens modding possibilities - maybe one day I will be able to play Poland before dividing its territories and counterattack Russia f.e. to change the history :)

Well I suppose that is the point , change history. Otherwise what is the point of being French you will lose no matter what if u can't change history.

I wonder then if its possible to offer the faction like Poland after dividing, their own territories like Napoleon did after Tylża in 1807.

I hope they have put that in the game. For example; If you have conquerd Poland or The Batavian Republic or a othor small country, than after a few years a faction might appear again. Just like civil war or something like that. If you have not a lott of soldier in that region, and they are "angry" becuase of the high tax etc, there will be a rebellion. That will be a great idea.

This isn't the case. When another army kicks your sorry arse out of a country you have taken they can choose to liberate it, or occupy it for themself (which will take some time of annexation.)

When you've invaded a country and slaughterd it's army you will need an annexation period before you get full control. The time needed depends on the troops you have stationed in the country. If you don't have sufficient forces the local people will raise a patriot army against you.

Ya, I was looking at some screenshots, and it showed a province that England took from Prussia, and the province had more loyalty to England by far than anyone else, even Prussia....traitors......

Poland...small country ? :)
It was bigger than France (in its full greatness it was little more than 770 000 km2 and Poland was 990 000) :)

Hi guys,

I'm curious if the other nations that are non playable ( though I hope Spain will be) will band in alliances and if a patriot army wins and beats you out of a conquered province will they set up new alliances?
