Commercial sea routes and ships

Post by sokar »

I cannot figure out how to build commercial ships and sea routes

The FIrst Era advance "Harbour infra structures" says it will allow us to build brigentines. Cannot see how to do.

Second era advance "industrialized ports" says it will allow us to build packets. Cannot see how to do.

Since commercial sea routes seem to require a merchant ship, this may be the problem with them.

Suggestions?

Building ships and assigning trade routes for them can only be seen from the Economic view screen, which is activated by the buttons on the bottom left of your main game screen.

From this map all potential trade routes, their potential income values and most importantly, their multiple interactions are all viewed from here.

After what ZZ said you just drop your ship over a port to establish a trade route.

The ship gets brighter once its over a port. Its tricky to get just the right position to drop it on the port, so watch for the ship getting brighter.
