GME - We'll be there - Ask your questions for the devs!!
Alright people,
@m, and possibly me, are going to Games Market Europe (GME) the 31st of this month. GME is a game expo in London. We have arranged a chat with the developers and now we would like to hear your questions for them!
So, if anything comes to your mind, post it here. But please, do it before the 29th or smth!

Well tom, before you start tell them that we (the other TAFN folks) thank them for such wonderful games, etc. Naturally, I'll submit a few dev questions:
- Any signs of dev tools to be released? Unit, Weapon, Map Modifications, Editors?
- Any sign of partial src code for the community to work with?
- What "Cutting-Edge" Technology will the game have? Are things like pixel-shaders 3.0, et cetera included?
- If there are no plans to release Modding Tools, can we atleast expect to see more maps released after the game's initial release? Map-a-month deal?
- Any easter eggs like we have seen in Commandos 1 through 3?
- Towards which brand of video cards will the game be leaned to? In other words, will it use nVidia's extra tools that make the graphics look beautiful, or perhaps ATi technology?
- What resolutions will the game support?
And of course some of the more.. blunt questions
- How many single-player maps(missions) are we expecting to see?
- How does the music tie into the game? Will it be the same style as all other Commandos games?
- Will we be able to uncover secrets and cheatcodes that let us play as "Regular Soldiers" instead of the daring trio(berret, spy, sniper)?
- When is the game expected to go gold? When does Eidos have the date for release set?

The rest is noted I'll add it to my list when I'm back from work.

Oh and of course you can expect a preview of Strike Force + a general report of the event and the other games.

Ok, here are some questions that I gathered up. Most of them are gameplay related.
Concerning CSF:
Will there be a combination of knocking out and using a knife at the same time? Separately?
What about the famous lethal injection by syringe?
Will there be any timed missions like in COD?
How many alarms can be raised during a mission? Raising the alarm was an important factor in the commandos series.
Will there be a shortcut key, as in C3, where we will be able to see the enemy soldiers and where they are positioned? Any shortcut key about stuff laying around?
Any missions underwater?
Perhaps controlling 2 commandos at once?
The COD and MOH:Pacific Assault fps games made it obligatory that the soldier can carry around 2 weapons (apart from a firearm and handgrenades) and not more. How many weapons will the commando be able to carry?
For healing... medkits available through the area, or medic? Or both?
Any bonus locations, secrets and hidden locations ala Tomb Raider/Pacific Assault/Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb style?
Any squad approach? Being able to order GIs around?
Perhaps any huge assault missions ala D-Day?
Coming to terms with enemy paratroopers? In other words, taking out special units of enemies?
Sabotage missions? Missions behind enemy lines, where the commandos are truly alone? Which missions are related to movies? And which movies?
Interacting with air support (bombing areas) and artillery (the same) through the use of radios or binoculars?
Any thought about expansions? Will they be standalone or they will require the original version?
Any historical persons in the game like Winston Churchill, Hitler, Eisenhower etc.?
New techniques of distracting? Apart from coins and smokes?
Will the other two commandos (apart from the spy) be able to dress in enemy uniforms?
Recreating older maps from the older games? Like a flashback sequence?
Any FMV sequences in game like in MOH: Pacific Assault/C2/C3?
Any actual footage like in CBEL, CBTCOD, C2?
A real beginning and an ending for the game? Unlike the no ending in MOH and C3?
Mission briefings as usual? Hints and clues as before?
Easter eggs like in previous games?
That's all for now.
If I come up with more questions, I'll let you know.

Just a new question... to surprise them...
Commandos Behind Enemy Lines was featured in the film Santa Maradonna (Italian production) and Commandos 2 was featured in the film Guerreros (Spanish production). Any idea how that happened? And are we going to see perhaps someday commandos on the big screen?
Cheers,
