BTCOD and XP?

Post by @m »

Since I have some free time I'm replaying all the of the Commandos games (BEL and C3 finished, C2 busy with the Destination Paris mod) but I can't get BTCOD to run on xp. It gives an error NT is not supported or something like that, compatibility mode doesn't do a thing either. Any solutions that are availabe that I missed?

Thanks.

David -- I slow the game down by increasing the resolution, however, there are programs out there that can slow them down. I knew one but I forgot it :(. Google is your best friend.

I have to play C2 with Destination Paris.

I wonder what will happen if you have dozens of slowdowns turned on at the same time. :p

Has anyone tested it with dual cpu's, I may install BEL again but seeing I got X2 4800's it may not work.

Well I tried it, it does provide sliders for both CPU's, however even on slow it doesnt make a difference, everything still too fast.

Found another program that allows to do the same, however it makes my game lag while the enemy still walks fast...

Mmz it looks like SP3 and CBEL do go together hand in hand. I didn't install the XP patch, yet it worked like a charm. Looks like our friend Bill added some extra compatibility features in SP3.

Just tested with CBtCoD as well but it won't work (the tutorial does work though). Guess I'll be applying the patch then...
